Itinerary

  • Passengers arrive at Heathrow Airport in London. In the evening there is an introduction to the tour and a chance for the passengers to get acquainted over a welcome drink.

  • In the morning we head to Cambridge where we pay our respects at the Cambridge American Cemetery. The afternoon is spent among iconic aircraft at the Imperial War Museum Duxford.

  • In the morning we travel to Bletchley Park; the place where the unsung code breakers greatly contributed to the war effort. We explore the museum or those who prefer can spend some time in the picturesque town. In the afternoon we are off to Cambridge, home of the world-renowned University of Cambridge founded in 1209 with one of the largest libraries in the world.

  • We travel to Oxford to marvel at the ˮcity of dreaming spires,ˮ the home of the University of Oxford, the oldest university in the English-speaking world.

  • In the morning we drive to Southsea to visit the SHAEF HQ at Southwick House, where many famous WWII battles were planned, including the Normandy Invasion. The afternoon we visit the D-Day Museum in Portsmouth to see the brand-new D-Day Story re-opening. Those otherwise interested may take the opportunity to explore Admiral Nelson’s flagship, the HMS Victory.

  • In the morning we visit Aldbourne, where U.S. Army paratroopers were based in preparation for D-Day during WWII. The village was featured in the 2001 HBO miniseries ˮBand of Brothersˮ. The morning also features RAF Greenham Common, which was used by both the Royal Air Force and U.S. Army Air Forces during the Second World War and the U.S. Air Force during the Cold War. The afternoon is dedicated to one of the most famous landmarks in the United Kingdom, a British cultural icon and a World Heritage Site: Stonehenge.

  • In the morning we head to Bovington and its world-famous Tank Museum: one of the largest collections of tanks and armored vehicles in the world, including the Tiger Collection and a British Mark I, the world’s oldest surviving combat tank. The museum traces the history of the tank with hundreds of vehicles on display from dozens of countries. In the afternoon we head back to Heathrow, where we spend the last night of the tour.

  • After saying goodbye our guests are brought to London's Heathrow Airport for their flights home.
